Style 702 AKII Continuous Graphite Filament Yarn

Style 702 AKII is braided from a filament of continuous graphite yarn lubricated with a small amount of PTFE and graphite. Style 702 AKII provides a “flat footprint” of packing on the shaft thus lowering the required gland load even more.

Style 702 AKII is applicable in the most severe corrosive mediums as well as acids, bases, solvents, and abrasive slurries. Not recommended for strong oxidizers or in solutions containing free halides.

Applications
Mixers, agitators, centrifugal pumps, hydroelectric turbines, and valve stems. Style 702 AKII as a bottom anti-extrusion device with Style 7800 AKII is the ultimate combination set for rotating equipment when “flush free” service is attempted.
